Spamalot tells the legendary tale of King Arthur’s quest to find the Holy Grail. Inspired by the classic comedy film, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, the musical also diverts a bit from more traditional versions of the legend. Instead, Spamalot features shennanigans including a line of beautiful dancing girls, a flatulent Frenchmen and killer rabbits. Outside, there is plague with a 50% chance of pestilence and famine. Throughout the show, Arthur, traveling with his servant Patsy, recruits several knights to accompany him on his quest, including Sir Bedevere, Sir Robin, Sir Lancelot and Sir Galahad. At this stage we expect to start rehearsals the Tuesday after auditions. Rehearsals will also take place on Thursdays and nominated Sundays. A rehearsal schedule will be issued at the first rehearsal. Cast are expected to be at all rehearsals as indicated in the schedule.
There are no planned rehearsals over Easter. There will be rehearsals during school holidays as they fall due.
There will be 10 performances of Spamalot.
Opening night Thursday 29th June, Fri 30th June 8pm (NB no Sat or Sun performances this week)

Bump in to TAS Hoskins Theatre is the long weekend of June 9th June.
Autumn Parade Sat 18th March. 12 – 2pm.
All cast are expected to participate in working bees to build set/costumes/props etc as scheduled. This show will require a considerable amount of painting as well.
You are also expected to be at all rehearsals as indicated in the schedule.
The Autumn parade during the Saturday of the Autumn festival (18th March) is 2 weeks after auditions. This is an important publicity opportunity for the show and as many people from the cast will be needed as possible to hold the banner dress in costume and hand out flyers to people watching the parade.
