The Armidale Drama & Musical Society first came together as the Armidale & District Musical Society in the early 1930s, and was active until the war years. It was reformed in 1963 and has been producing musicals continuously since. The shows produced have been many and varied and have included many popular shows such as The King and I, Oklahoma, My Fair Lady, The Sound of Music, Oliver!, Me & My Girl and more recently, Les Miserables, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, Cinderella - A Pantomime, The Music Man, South Pacific & Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.

We are also pleased to be able to present musical programs for community groups. We support other organisations with fund raising performances and have been involved in collaborative productions with other organisations such as The Armidale Playhouse, The Armidale Symphony Orchestra, The Armidale Choral Society, The Armidale Music Foundation & The Plague and the Moonflower Tour Group.

Membership of the Society changes from year to year as people come and go. Some people have been with us for only one or two shows whilst others have enjoyed the experience for over 40 years. New members are always welcome - whether you want to appear on stage or be involved behind the scenes. We need people to help with costumes, props, stage sets, publicity, front of house and many other jobs. Come along and discover your talents.
