SYNOPSIS
It’s 1985 and rock-star wannabe Robbie Hart is New Jersey's favourite wedding singer. He’s the life of the party - until his own fiancée leaves him at the altar. Shot through the heart, Robbie makes every wedding as disastrous as his own. Enter Julia, a winsome waitress who wins his affection. Only trouble is Julia is about to be married to a Wall Street shark, and unless Robbie can pull off the performance of the decade, the girl of his dreams will be gone forever.
The Musical is based on the hit movie of the same name starring Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore. The story holds pretty close to the original movie with many new original songs written especially for the musical.

DIRECTOR’S MESSAGE
I remember very fondly growing up as a child in the eighties; outrageous fashion, big hair, a surplus of makeup, larger than life personalities on the radio, television and movies making their way in to our lives and unforgettable memories made with family and friends. My mum would play vinyls on the record player all day long and car trips were just as anticipated as the holiday itself. My sisters and I knew the words to every eighties pop song that existed, singing in three-part harmony and never missing a beat whilst Dad whistled along. We would spend endless hours choreographing dance routines which would be performed for whomever would watch.
The Wedding Singer first came to my attention a year ago and whilst listening to the soundtrack I couldn’t help but we transported back to that special time in my life. I have been incredibly privileged to have had the opportunity to work with such a talented and enthusiastic cast and crew. This has been a challenging yet wonderful and rewarding experience.
As Ronald Reagan once said “Life is one grand, sweet song, so start the music!
