DIRECTOR'S MESSAGE
Asked why I wanted to direct this musical, my answer is simple - I love musical theatre and family entertainment, and this production has both and I have come to appreciate the many attributes of Meredith Willson's The Music Man. With tons of music and dancing, a bit of conflict, a chase and the obligatory romance, this old-fashioned musical provides a wonderful opportunity for a cast of all ages, shapes and talents, to come together for some 'honest-to-goodness' fun - a perfect fit for our musical society.
I have been incredibly supported by a talented, experienced and dedicated production team, and must thank Stuart Pavel, Tracey James, Colin Barry, Terry Million and Ingrid Rothe for their amazing skills and support. It has also been great to work with enthusiastic young talent such as Hanneke Raanhuis, Luke Polson and Therese Scott, and of course, no show would be possible without the experience of Margaret Kennedy, Nick Monk, Mike Gibson, Nadia Ozanne and Neil Horton.
This production is the result of lots of hard work, commitment and fun, and we invite you to just sit back and enjoy it.
